The
Midi Pyrenees hosts a number of rambling routes, the Cathar route, Chemin des Bonshommes, Chemin de
Liberte, Chemin Des Orris, all these walks are an excellent reason
for taking a walking holiday in this area. The Pyrenees boasts stunning scenery
and
plenty of sunshine The Bastides of Mirepoix and Mazeres
and the many Romanesque churches, including those at St Lizier Saint
-Jean -de- Verges and Vals illustrate the riches of
this Medieval era
Flora and fauna
flourish in this warm inviting landscape, Impressive citadels of Montsegur
and Foix dominate the views.
In
the heart of these vast protected landscapes the Orlu and
the Le Valiernature reserves are home to a number of different
species of Lizards, marmots, bearded vultures, golden eagles.
Enjoy
a days walking amongst vineyards and
chateau's, and finishing at the local Domaine
de foret vineyard for
wine tasting
During your weeks stay, you will be
based at this pleasingly comfortable Hameau with its stunning views and
a very relaxing enviroment, take advantage of all the facilities
the Hameau has to offer, Tennis, Golf practice, rackets and clubs
available, after a good days walking enjoy an Aromatherapy
massage .
To ensure that
each person enjoys the space, tranquillty and comfort that the Hameau
has to offer throughout your stay, we limit the group to a maximum of 14
people per holiday (please contact
Jo if you are a larger group),
this week is entirely booked for the walking holidays

include transfers from Toulouse or Carcassonne airports

SATURDAY
Meet at the Airport, arrive at the Hameau
free to explore, swim, play
Tennis, or practice your golf swing,
6 30pm welcome drinks and 4
course Dinner, including wine
SUNDAY
Breakfast from 8am prepare for a days walking at
La Foret de Belesta around 5 -6 hrs walking and picnic, return in good
time for free time at the Hameau
7pm drinks/ dinner/wine
MONDAY
Breakfast from 8am prepare to be taken to Mirepoix, a morning of
walking and exploring
this 13th century Bastide town, take advantage of buying
local arts and crafts in the bustling market town, meet at 1 pm for lunch at restaurant, return to the Hameau for free time to walk or take a bike
and explore
around the pretty village of Gaudies
7pm drinks/ dinner/wine
TUESDAY
8am breakfast
Prepare to be taken to L'étang du diable for
around 5-6 hrs walking and picnic return around 6 pm
Drinks/ dinner /wine
WEDNESDAY
Breakfast from 8am, (free day), an
unguided planned walk 5hrs approx this walk starts from the
Hameau and taking in villages close by, alternatively
please use one of the many bikes and
explore locally, a packed
lunch is supplied or take advantage of the day excursion (payed locally) to
Carcassonnes old cathar cité
and a visit to Domaine le Fort
(vineyard) for wine tasting
Dinner in restaurant
THURSDAY
Breakfast from 8am, prepare to be taken to the lakes
of Montbel
to walk and picnic, return
drinks and dinner /wine at 7pm
FRIDAY
Breakfast from 8am we will head towards Le Mont Fourcat
around 6hrs walking a little more energetic
than previouse trails, picnic lunch
Dinner

airport
