village of Gaudies, it has a small community and an

the Aude. The villages of Belpech and Bastide De Lordat
are 2 miles away, Mazeress approx 4 miles, The local
villages hold weekly markets with fetes, and festivals
throughout the summer, Belpech has a restaurant/bar,
small shops, supermarkets, banks,Pharmacy, doctor, dentist,
hairdresser.Mirepoix, the beautiful 13th century medieval
town is around15 minutes away, it has a very vibrant
atmosphere, with many festivals, markets, dancing, music,
artisans and a variety of cultural activities. Sit at
one of the many cafes and restaurantshat form the medieval
square and watch the world go by Pamiers is a 15min
drive away with its impressive Cathedral,twice weekly
market, summer fetes and festivals, main supermarkets
shops.Pamiers also has night clubs and a large choice
of restaurantsThere are lakes for watersport within
25 minutes and horse riding close by. 3 golf courses
are around a 40 minute drive.Foix and Carcassonne with
their cathar castles a are accessible within 45mins
as is Toulouse.The Mediteranean coast or tax free Andorra

is easy to find, on the D road between Belpech and
Pamiers,
turn off at the sign for the village of Gaudies, once
in
the
village square with the church on your left and the
river infront of you,it is sign posted to Certes on
your right and also
sign
posted on the short drive to Certes
Direction
from CarcassoneTurn right out of airport and follow
directions
to Montreal, carry on to Fanjeaux keeping on this roac
and
immeadiately after Fanjeaux turn right direction Belpech.
Follow
signs for Belpech and drive through the village passing
the
bar/restaurant La Vixiene on your left and after crossing
the
bridge
take the first left turn. Turn right almost immeadiately
afterwards,
direction Gaudies.You will see the sign for Certes at
the
crossroads, turn left up the hill and enter CertesDirection
from ToulouseYou are best to take the motorwayfrom
Toulouse
direction Montpellier, follow this until the right turn
on
to
the motorway for Foix and Andorra, take this and exit
at the
Mazeres
turn off.At the first roundabout head for Mazeres,at
the
second
roundabout head for Belpech, take a right turn off this
road
direction Gaudies.Drive into Gaudies village square,
once
in
the village square with the church on your left and
the river in
front
of you,it is sign posted to Certes on your right, and
also
sign
posted on the short drive to Certes.
